I was initially interested in checkers because it had such a fun 1950s diner aesthetic. It was also busy, which is a good sign that the food is good. When I drove up, they were advertising brisket sandwiches, has a little skeptical of a good brisket sandwich from a fast food place. So I ordered it along with loaded fries and a number two meal. The seasoned fries were excellent! Perfect amount of seasoning! The loaded fries were too salty for me! The brisket sandwich was amazing and I tasted the burger and it was delicious as well! There's nothing wrong with this place. Employees were very nice and helpful. But I wasn't a fan of the food. At first it looked and it taste it good the first couple of bites then I started to have a different taste for it. Like some start of salty taste was too much I did finish it because I was hungry. Place was great and different but I'm just not a fan of checkers from the items I chose. First time being in Maryland and pick to eat here other than Burger King and McDonald's because I wanted to try something different so next time I'll try different items on the menu. I'm not sure, if it's just me or did checkers change their brand of beef patties. Its been awhile since I've been there because of a nasty burger a year ago. I tried to give them another try. The burgers are really bad and the need to go back to their old vendor for the beef patties. There is a big difference in the taste. It's so bad I wonder if they are loosing business and the customers aren't picking up on what the issue is.
