RJ Aguilar★★★★Third time here and another good night out! The food is empeccable, service is consistent and attentive, and talented local performers. I highly recommend the short rib raviolis. It seems that they do rotate the menu which is nice. The drinks are well crafted. The establishment is next door to a decently priced parking garage and close to City Hall and Walnut septa stations. Knocking off a star due to stage visability. There's a column that blocks certain viewing angles based on which table you get assigned. The men's bathroom is really small and thought the urinal was super close to the sink
la clea★★★★Was here last night. I enjoyed the music venue and the VIP seating was great. The place was not packed on a Thursday night, so I could have saved a few dollars with a regular table. The appetizers were great, however, the main dish which was the fish and ravioli that didn't really hit the mark. I think they would do a bit better with a more well rounded menu and add a dish that can be cooked to order and nor require a fancy spin on the dish. I am not sure why two cups of tea cost 10 USD, at the most, it would usually be complimentary or under 2-3 USD a cup at many restaurants. Our server was
Thomas Cleveland★★★★What a great place for live Jazz! Nice atmosphere! Food was delicious! Had Garlic Chicken Meatballs. Delicious! Jambalaya with Gator Sausage. That was also good! Wife had Salmon and Apple Salad. Pecan Tart was good! Breanna was attentive and polite!
Phoebes in Philly★★★★★The night that make you fall for Philly one more time! Had such a great night at Chris’ Jazz Café. The standout for me was bassist Alex Claffy. His playing was seriously so good. The walking bass felt super fresh, fluid, and alive, and it really carried the whole set in such a natural way. I don’t think I’ve heard walking bass played in a way that felt this refreshing in a long time. His bass solo was also kind of insane!! super virtuosic, but still tasteful and musical the whole time. I know he is really big right now at different jazz scene across the globe and I’m glad he still comes back
