La Famiglia is hands down my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always amazing, but what really makes this place special is how welcomed they make you feel from the moment you walk in. Sal, the owner, truly treats everyone like family and always makes sure everyone is happy with their food and leaves full! We came here for the first time on a Fri night. We were actually on our way to Popei's seafood restaurant when we passed this place. We had been to the Smithtown location a few times and it was great! We expected this location to be just as good..big mistake. The place was crowded and noisy but, OK we could deal with that. However, the waiter apparently didn't hear my husband's order correctly. He orig ordered a shrimp entree but when he found out it didn't come with pasta, he switched it to spaghetti carbonara. Excellent food and service! From appetizers to dessert we greatly appreciated the lunch experience over Memorial Day weekend. The staff was fast, helpful and friendly and the food well done. Would absolutely recommend the Seafood Pasta and Baked ziti, as well as their long list of deserts. Overall very happy with our first time to La Famiglia and would recommend to any family for lunch or dinner.
