This Safeway is a standard grocery option for the area, but it often falls short of the experience offered by nearby competitors. A customer spoke very disrespectfully to an employee, even going as far as to tell her she was nothing. It was completely uncalled for and honestly hard to watch. What stood out to me, though, was how incredibly professional the employee remained throughout the entire situation. If I had to describe the situation from my view point why this behavior occurred, the employee is African American with blonde braided hair, and the customer is a Caucasian older women who seems to looked down on the employee. Never seen something so stupid as having to ask somebody for a bag at the self checkout. You have to stop what you’re doing and request i’m someone in the store a paper bag. And if it isn’t bad enough to have to deal with paper bags, you’re getting a paper bag that doesn’t have a handle.

I love this Safeway. Quick little known fact: for $5 you can get any 5 pieces of roasted chicken you want from the deli. I saw some guys doing this that came from the gym and they told me about it. Great Keto lunch!
