Ce qu'en disent les gens

We were looking for authentic Asian comfort food and found one in the heart of San Jose’s Japantow. Omogari has a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service makes one feel right at home. The dishes are packed with traditional Korean flavors with the familiar wok-hei for the stir-fried vegetables.
We ordered spicy chicken wings, beef tofu soup, and spicy pork rice bowl. Six pieces of chicken wings and two of them were huge. Inside of the huge ones were cold. IMO we didn't get what we pad for.

Decent spot with good portion sizes and we appreciated getting a bigger table for our group. The ribs were a bit too sugary for my taste. The pancakes were solid, nothing spectacular but good. The beef fried rice was too oily, and the egg was just sitting on top instead of being mixed in properly, which is what we're used to. Everything was fine, just nothing that really stood out. The portions are generous though, so you definitely get your money's worth in that department.

The sides are amazing that is servers while you wait for food. One of my favorite Korean spots to go. We ordered vegetarian Bibimbap, Korean vegetable pancake, vegetarian dumplings ramen and Japchae. The serving size is huge. pancakes and japchae is highly recommended here. I would definitely go back for it.

I recently dined at SJ Omogari in Japantown and was delighted by how familiar and satisfying everything felt. The spicy bulgogi was incredibly flavorful with a perfect blend of firm yet tender. The kimchi fried rice was extremely delicious! The Japchae was such a hit, almost all of it was gone before the main courses! Service was friendly and attentive, and I appreciated being able to sit outside on their new patio. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but it moved quickly, and once I tasted the food, it was clear why this place stays popular. SJ Omogari is a delightful go-to for hearty Korean comfort food in a relaxed, welcoming space.

I’ve been a regular customer for a long time, but my recent order was extremely disappointing. The LA galbi was completely undercooked, with blood still pooling in the meat. I also ordered kimchi fried rice, which is usually not too greasy here, but this time it was so oily that it leaked everywhere, and the taste was terrible. They didn’t follow my special requests, and the packaging was done so poorly that the food spilled and mixed together. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they blamed the Uber driver. If they had simply used one plastic bag per item or added an extra layer of wrapping like other restaurants do, none of this would have happened. Overall, the food quality, packaging, and service were all very disappointing. I hope they improve, especially for loyal customers.

We got the beef bibimbop and the rice cake and dumpling soup. Both were delicious and had generous portions. The banchan were varied, also delicious, and also generously portioned. Our table was by the passthrough so we got to watch them torch the fondue dishes, which was fun. We will definitely be back again!

Had Omogari on my to-try for the longest time and finally got to visit for a weekend dinner. Had a 10min wait and we were seated inside! The interior is warm and inviting and service is great. We ordered the kimchi stew, bulgogi, and pork rib fondue. Our favorite was the bulgogi with its good meat quality, tender/juicy bite, and authentic flavor. Would recommend if you're in the area and craving some good Korean food! Parking: it was easy for us despite it being weekend dinner in JTown; we also appreciated the free street parking on Sundays.
