Love this place. Been here dozens of times and I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it before. I like to sit at the bar or in the bar area. The corn beef hash is outstanding homemade every day. Had the eggs Benedict today with a side of pancake, which is a must because their pancakes are fantastic. Our server and bartender Saul has been there a long time and is a super nice guy with excellent attention to detail and he always gets our order right.

This is a normal American brunch/dinner restaurant, it’s not outstanding but it does its job. I like the Swedish pancakes a lot, but beware a lot of their items are on the sweeter side. Staff is very nice, and reservations are not usually needed. It’s a nice quick stop to catch up with friends and is not very loud.

This place is easily one of the best restaurants in San Mateo. Service is always spectacular and food is consistently delicious. I usually go to the bar for Happy Hour so my go to favorites are the lamb sliders with their take on a G&T. It’s hard to find genuine hospitality these days, but Jack’s never fails to provide service with a smile :)

My coworkers and I visit Jacks once a month for lunch. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Everything is delicious and presented well. I also have to give praise to Liz our server. We sit in the exact same location every time we come and she has always helped us. She has an amazing attitude and is always making sure we have everything we need. And as long as she is around we will keep coming back!
