Peter Lekhakul★★★★

Good banh mi sandwich place, not the best but really good. They also have different hot dishes you can choose, pre-made desserts, dessert drinks, food dishes (had banh xeo today), and snacks. This time had their dac biet (house special, basically with everything), steamed custard buns. The sandwich was good, bread was soft and not too hard. They were light on the pate, which i love. Had the grilled pork before and was good. The steamed buns were a nice surprise, soft buns and good custard, not too sweet. Great flavor.

I order the tofu on me with no butter because that makes it vegan. They make their own tofu which is delicious. They also have to go straight tofu if you wanna get it in different flavors like jalapeño. But the sandwich I get off and they also make their own bread in house fresh every day. And they are very quick to making the sandwiches, but it can be a little busy in there sometimes. And the parking lot there’s plenty of parking spots, but it’s a little tight sometimes because the place is somewhat too very busy most of the time. And the people are nice and the prices are great.

You're here for the banh mi. They make very good sandwiches and that's all you should order - vegetarian options are also available. The bread could be improved a bit (go early to get fresher loafs) but the fillings are moist and generous. They do offer other smaller options and drinks as well but nothing compares to the sandwiches. There's a small free parking lot on site but otherwise you're parking on the street.

As of 2026, Than Son Tofu has brought back the mixed tofu, carrot, vermicelli for their tofu banh mi, restoring their status as having the best banh mi in Seattle. When Than Son switches back to the large slices of tofu, it's still fantastic, but I feel like Saigon Vietnam Deli's tofu sandwich edges them out. Also Lam's Seafood, but only on days when they make their lemongrass tofu. But Than Son's minced tofu mix tops them all!
