Masala Palace was a disappointing experience, mainly because both the service and the food missed the mark. The restaurant seemed understaffed, with one person apparently handling the roles of host and waiter. It took quite a while before we could even ask for water. When we placed our order, he warned us that the Chicken 65 was very spicy and could not be toned down. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the dish was not very well-spiced, and it did not resemble a typical Chicken 65 in flavor or preparation. The Shrimp Tawa Masala was also disappointing. Nice authentic Indian cuisine. Lunch buffet every day and supper buffet Fri-Sun. Traditional menu also available. Be sure to check hours as they close in mid afternoon. No street parking on block, so a little walking is necessary.

We had their great lunch buffet. I’m grateful that even though we arrived toward the end of their lunch hour they made more chicken, lentils and vegetables for us. And… the fresh made naan that they brought out to us twice, was fresh and hot and fantastic! The service was very attentive and anticipated what we would need before we asked for it.
