Dragon Flame Chinese Grill has a fun college atmosphere, good food, and a unique menu that stands out around the ASU area. Service took a while despite the smaller dining room, but the staff was friendly, made great recommendations, and kept the experience positive. I had to try the famous fried chicken ice cream after seeing the reviews — and it lived up to the hype. Definitely a cool foodie spot near campus if you’re looking to try something different.

We stopped by because of the reviews and the photos. The waiter was nice and recommended the pineapple chicken. We ordered pineapple chicken, steamed dumplings, and chili seafood dumplings. We were extremely disappointed. The food was inedible, the texture of the chicken and dumplings were rubbery like it was reheated. It did not taste like traditional Chinese food. 1/10 would not recommend or try again for $70.

Dragonflame was definitely a unique experience. The service was good and the portions were huge. I really enjoyed the pineapple chicken, but my friend wasn’t a fan. The atmosphere was unusual and a little odd, with lots of toys and decor, the benches filled with old stuffed animals, and cartoons on the walls. The lit-up dragon across the ceiling was very cool, but overall vibe was somewhere between cool and creepy....may not be for everyone.

We come from Cali and I saw on TikTok the fried chicken ice cream and the Dragons Breath. Took my kids when we visited Tempe and they absolutely loved it! The Fried Chicken ice cream looks so realistic and is so yummy! The Dragons breath was a fun experience! The server was also really cool.
