It took us 4 years of driving up & down interstate 85 from Richmond to Matthews, NC ( Charlotte) to finally find Amanda & SUNRISE DINER!! A FANTASTIC Breakfast & Lunch Diner Place I knew was out there- we just hadd to get lucky . Amanda was awesome with service and personality you can’t get just anywhere. My wife had the (no mix) melt in your mouth fluffy pancakes with sausage links & I had the Meat lovers Omlet and both were terrific. We come by Thomasville twice a month and can’t wait to stop at the SUNRISE again as we drive to Charlotte. You gotta stop & enjoy the Sunrise!

I came to this place 4 times, 3 times they left something off my order.. major things they said they would write my name down so when I return I could get the things they left off! (Never said how long it had to be) when I arrived the last time, they said it had to be same day or the next day.. I was never aware of that but the elder lady at the window is rude and racist , she tried to charge me for the items minding you she never mentioned that when I called the order in and explained! she stated that I should pull over and check my order before leaving, but she the worker so you take orders

Nice menu. Nice waitstaff that goes out of their way to be timely and efficient. One of the nicer, most economical diners in the area. They were understaffed for a busy, spring morning, but the working staff were very accommodating and made costumers aware of a delay in being served before we sat down. Waffles are really good!!! Will visit again!

First time in today and it was better than my expectations! Fast friendly service and the best part was the food quality! I got the Bull Dog Breakfast plate and was very impressed! Absolutely delicious! Freshly made to order! Definitely will be a regular restaurant for me!
