I called down to place my order, and was put on hold by Whitney. When I got the restaurant, no one was there AND the place was EMPTY! When I advised that I had called and she placed me on hold but never came back. I told her that I was on hold long enough to brush my teeth and get dressed. She rolled her eyes. Never apologizing. While waiting on my food, a gentleman came up complaining about his service. She IMMEDIATELY apologized and adjusted his bill, then laughed and talked with him. Delicious dinner! I had planned to explore more of downtown Tulsa for dinner but when I stopped in for a drink at the Hyatt Regency I discovered this place. Once I took a look at the menu I thought there was no reason to go anywhere else. I had a great server named David who made wonderful recommendations. The Buratta Caprese was so good accompanied with the arugula and pesto. I then had the Frenched Chicken which was so juicy and the skin was crisped to perfection. Followed up with the cobbler for dessert. It was good but a tad too sugary for my liking on the crust. Next time going through T

I decided to try The Avery in Tulsa on New Year’s Day, mainly because most restaurants in downtown Tulsa were closed. I'm so glad I did! From start to finish, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the service was exceptional. Our bartender/server, Stevie, absolutely made the evening. She had such a positive, upbeat attitude that created the perfect atmosphere for a laid-back but still special dining experience. Located within the Hyatt Regency, the Avery is a beautiful restaurant with solid food and outstanding service. We really enjoyed our experience at lunch today. The burnt ends and mac & cheese were out of this world!
