Charlotte T Tran★★★★★My bf and I went for dinner on a rainy day. The restaurant was a bit quiet at the time, but the server was incredibly nice 👍 truly excellent service; I honestly haven't experienced anything quite like it, even at high-end establishments. She took the time to explain each dish and offered us recommendations. The food itself was delicious and perfectly suited my palate. The portion sizes were moderate not overly large, but certainly enough to leave us feeling satisfied.
Bree Taylor★★★★★Wow what an amazing spot for dinner! Our food was amazing but truthfully our server Paola was even better. This spot was such a vibe and we will definitely be coming back. The happy hour was amazing. As a Brazilian person, I can say without a doubt this is the best spot for a caipirinha. The Inca salad and coconut fried rice are a must. The Cuban oxtail pasta is also amazing. We wish the ceviche had a little more punch in terms of flavor but that was truly the only slight complaint we had. We will definitely be coming back!
Zuzanna★★★★Vibe and service are wonderful. We went for the restaurant week menu. Everything was delicious, besides the Spanish octopus and the Churrasco (in my opinion). Spanish octopus was not crispy, but rather squishy on a base of beans (?). Maybe just not my taste, but we didn’t finish the dish. Churrasco could also just be a preference thing. But it was very heavy on a bed of masa porridge that tasted like a nothing-mush. However, the pork was spiced very well.
Astin Hayes★★★★★Had a phenomenal time at Amaru for Restaurant Week. From the time I hit the door the playlist was literally music to my ears with smooth R&B and Old School Hip-Hop. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated immediately while I waited for my guest. My server, Paola, was a beam of energy and light (and a good dancer too). She offered me a cocktail flight of daiquiri, margarita and Mama Juana...they were each equally delicious. Next came the 4 courses including ceviche, oxtail and rice, corn cake and chocolate tree leches. I will definitely be back again and hope Paola will be my server.
