Courageous Bakery was an intriguing find today, had some time and looked for a bakery nearby. Ordered an off menu Latte, Honey Cinnamon (Miel) I love the syrup selection and measurements, 1 pump = 1oz. Makes sugar control easier, they offer free donuts holes with their order, and I gladly accepted a couple to try 🤭 Donut holes: - Chocolate, mild cocoa flavor, crispy outer layer, soft interior. - Sprinkles, classic donut flavor, mild yeasty and sweet, compliments spiced coffee well. Cheerful & Delicious! A throwback to a retro hometown bakery-restaurant; part self serve, part table service, all fresh and delicious. We especially liked the Tropical Cheese Danish, donut bites, BLTA sandwich (avocado!) with fruit cup and bottomless coffee in real ( A+ for mismatched!) oversized mugs. We left only when we realized we had been finished for awhile and others were walking in hungry…time to leave so we can come back again soon!

This place is wonderful! It’s my family’s favorite place for brunch/lunch in Elmhurst. It’s obvious things are made from scratch, and it’s truly an outstanding bakery! Most things we order are not things we would usually make at home, so always feels like a treat. Very family friendly, but also great for a date.

Courageous is one of our favorite local spots for both breakfast and dessert. The restaurant is adorably decorated and welcoming. The one time I had an issue with my order, they went above and beyond to make it right. The strawberry shortcake cupcake is our go-to for birthday celebrations!
