Just leaving this establishment and will not be returning. Discovered a piece of what looks like hair wrapped around and fried onto the leg of a drumstick. I went back to the register to bring it to the attention of the cashier. She took the chicken out of my hand, threw it in the trash then walked off and began serving another customer all without saying a word. When I asked her if she was going to address my concerns she said she was going to give me another piece of chicken. As if I would want another piece of chicken from the same batch??? I’ll say this… leaving 5 stars because the portion size was great, she was patient while I was trying to figure out what I wanted, and the environment was clean and nice. I got the oxtail with rice and peas and mac n cheese. The only thing I was a fan of was that the sauce on the oxtails was TOO sweet. It honestly was a step away from just plain ole barbecue sauce. I feel like oxtails are too expensive to have such a basic and sweet sauce. I wasn’t expecting the mac and cheese to be home cooked BUT it was much better than most other restaurants mac and cheese… I’ll give it that. 👍🏽 Rice &

I had a wonderful experience at Irie Cafe! The lady who assisted me was very welcoming and polite. Even though she was in the middle of cleaning, she made sure to wash her hands before handling anything, which I really appreciated. The food was fresh and delicious, even though closing time was just an hour away. The music added to the great atmosphere, making the visit even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back!
