I can't remember it was either June or it was. May I know it was one of those months that was our waitress's name. Not when we ate there and she was awesome, very knowledgeable, very friendly, checked on us regularly to make sure we were taken care of and the service was very awesome would recommend this place highly some good sandwiches too as well. The atmosphere is always a little crazy. But what would you expect for the downtown area?

While it’s a definite perk that The Monarch has a great location and local ownership, we also enjoy the food and drink options. I do wish they had their Whiskey Slushies year round, but overall drink selection is incredible. While I love their veggie sandwich and homemade chips, we are suckers for so many of their apps, which can be a whole meal - the fried green beans with the aioli are a must, the burnt end stuffed mushrooms are a treat and if you like tots - the loaded tater tots are pretty good. Had to wait for a table about ten minutes, but the meal proved to be worth the wait. Had the Mac and cheese with fried onions, burnt ends and jalapeños. Delicious. Return trip had the cheese appetizer with carrots and cakes and homemade chips. Also had grilled cheese sandwich with Broccoli salad and the Ruben on Rye with the Baked Potato Casserole. Everything was excellent.

Lots of action here on the patio overlooking the round about and statue. Great selection of bourbons and whiskeys. Delicious comfort food selections and fantastic service. Lots of laughs and good cheer here, and will definitely return on future trips to Wichita.
