I LOVE THIS BAKERY, I’ve taken several of my friends and they all loved this place. It’s close to multiple thrift stores so it’s a great place to wind down after shopping. Our favourites were the custard bun, the Hawaiian chicken and their iced coffee and taro slushes. the slush options are amazing and go for 7ish dollars. Inexpensive and genuinely delicious, I haven’t seen a place that rocks a slush like they do!

Solitary Gourmet★★★

I honestly wish 85°C Bakery Cafe would remove most of the tables and chairs and turn it into a pure grab-and-go spot. Too many people buy just one drink, camp out for hours, chat loudly, and take up space that actual customers need. It can get really annoying. On the plus side, every bread and pastry now comes individually wrapped, which feels much more hygienic. A quick tip: don’t come too early or too late. Arrive too early and a lot of items aren’t out of the oven yet. Come too late and you’re left picking through whatever scraps the crowd didn’t grab—selection gets pretty sad by the end o

I’ve gotten my birthday cakes from this place for the past 2-3 years, it never fails. They’re not too sweet either and the coffee flavor in the macchiato cream cake (my go-to now) is very strong which we all appreciate. The ube cake I got one year was also amazing, demolished nearly half of it myself over the next week 💀 Also a really good place to get a bunch of snacks and pastries which are all not too sweet and with really interesting flavors. Staff is also really friendly and helpful, they also gave free candles with the cake we got this year!

I preordered a mango birthday cake, picked it up and brought it home only to find out that there was mold on the strawberry. Not a little bit either but a chunk that was clearly visible. They gave me the cake in a box so I couldn’t see it until it was opened. The baker must be blind or malicious for this to happen. I don’t know if it’s even safe to eat to this cake. Even if the mold didn’t spread, I can’t be sure that there’s not more moldy mango or bread that’s better hidden. I’m really upset. Good thing I ordered the cake a day early or the birthday would be ruined by this place. Do not eat
