I visited Pondok Daun a few times. The food quality was always good, quite big portion, and absolutely delicious. The price level was very reasonable. I have only visited Bali, Indonesia, one time. I would say some dishes are very close to those I tried before when I lived in Hong Kong. There were over 160,000 Indonesians living in Hong Kong, so I believed those Indonesian restaurants in Hong Kong were pretty authentic. This was the best Indonesian restaurant that I ever tried in Australia. I am happy to recommend it to my friends, colleagues and anyone who likes Indonesian food.

Only reason this isnt 5⭐️ is the fried catfish I ordered was quite small and didnt have much meat on it. However, the dish was delicious as were the fried wontons. No alcohol is served here!

An overdue review. We were here during the Easter Break. So glad we did, in fact we were here twice in 4 days. The service was excellent from the servers to the cashier. Food was delicious, especially the fish, it was fresh and fried to perfection. Price was reasonable too! Next time we are in Adelaide, we know where to get authentic Indonesian food.

One thing for sure, the portion was massive. The price was reasonable and the taste was nice, it would be more authentic if they use jasmine rice instead a long grain. Overall was amazing, gonna come back here whenever I'm in town. Kudos!
