This is creative Middle Eastern food where the chefs like to mix and match both unusual and obvious ingredients. We had abroholos scallops(2) with salmon roe and pangrattato? for entree. Mains were wood grilled squid with tomato, olives, dill and sujuk (spicy Turkish sausage), and Turkish coffee cured and wood roasted duck with leeks and pomegranate. The food is solid—scallops, chicken, swordfish, and cucumber salad all deliver. Unfortunately, the tiny table and awkward seating made things uncomfortable, and the service felt like a relay race, perhaps rushed. It’s pricey and a bit of a squeeze, but your taste buds will definitely enjoy the ride even if your wallet doesn’t .

My wife, daughter and I ended up going to Babylon Restaurant by accident under circumstances I won't bore you with. I had been to the gardens 18 months ago, but not the Restaurant. The food was good in the garden, it's delicious in the Restaurant. For entrees, house made bread wither Avatar spiced butter, Hummus, macadam dukkah and olive oil. Excellent. A bit of a debacle. Not many patrons for a Sunday sunny lunch time, yet one staff member!!! When the patrons are clearing glasses a there are queues at the bar, perhaps it’s time for a rethink.
