We stayed at Oaks Hotel (across the road) and decided to have dinner here Friday night. Best decision! Reasonably priced. Delicious food. Great vibe. Lovely staff. Music was perfect. Not loud nor quiet everyone was having a great time yet we could still hear and conversate without having to raise our voices. Decor is retro rustic and creative, uniquely cool. We ordered a burger, sweet potato fries with Aoli, stake, salad and fries, and chicken wings, ending with 2 big cookies take away (so yum! My brother and I caught up at this venue over lunch after spotting the $20 Tuesdays special. The the chicken schnitzel was perfect! Juicy, crispy and seasoned nicely. The salad was good too but the chips were a bit thin. More ideal for finger food so if you don't mind then no worries! But I'd have preferred some thick beer battered chips. I ordered the house lager and found it smooth. Not to my brothers' taste but that's okay, he was adopted. We had a good time here and would tell our mates, so I write this review to tell you!

We came for the Thursday special, Steak, Chips and small side salad for 20 AUD. Food came out quickly and the chips (fries, for us Americans) were hot! We enjoyed the steaks and salad and fries. I found out that the kitchen closes at 9pm, so the bar and restaurant are open past that. Next time in Brisbane, I would come by on Thursday again! Side Note: We dropped in around 3:45 PM, so there was NO wait and we were ready to leave by 4:15. Stomachs are full!
