My hubby and I LOVE Halfmoon and their falafel! The fava bean mixture is so light and fluffy and crunchy on the outside. Their dips are also very tasty in the wraps or with the falafel balls on their own. Yes it can get a bit pricey the fancier you go with the wrap choice, but still totally worth it! The basic wrap is only $10!!

Half Moon Cafe is one of those places you can instantly tell has a loyal local following. Walking in, it felt like everyone from uni students and hospo workers to older locals all flock here regularly. Pretty mixed crowd overall, although interestingly I barely saw any Asians there which stood out to me considering Melbourne food spots usually have everyone everywhere. Food-wise, I was deciding between just getting the falafel wrap or the open falafel meal deal which lets you try a bit of everything without committing to ordering multiple separate items. Establishment didn’t smell good. I was going to grab some lunch, but just decided to go with an iced coffee once I smelt the interior In a walking lane way… busy atmosphere which was good but erratic people on the street as well didn’t feel like the safest environment Lots of chairs and tables outside could be nice just too much traffic Honestly, I wouldn’t even stop in for a coffee again🤷‍♀️

We literally found this place by the smell walking along Sydney Rd The wonderful smell of fresh falafel being cooked we had to try it! Nice, crunchy, fresh I mistakenly thought a drink was put of date and the owner and I had a laugh about it, a genuinely kind person Will definitely be my go-to sydney rd food spot from now
