My partner and I went to Alma last night to celebrate our anniversary. The food we had was 5/5 but the atmosphere and service we were provided were definitely lacking as well as the amount of food for such a high price point. When booking online we were prompted to add if we were celebrating any special occasion. We added that it was our anniversary and upon entering the restaurant nothing was mentioned. Greta little hidden gem, it’s a little of a mystery this place. Cocktails are wonderful and tasty and well made. Entree amazing yet small of course. Veggie serving is definitely enough for two. And so is the wagu 350g beef however ours was a chewy one, every bite, it had wonderful taste yet for $85 I’ve had better $40 steak that was so tender. They do a great job just the meat let them down a star tonight.

Could you call Alma an institution in Geelong? It's been there since 2017 and has always had consistently good reviews. Suffice to say we were not disappointed! Generous serves and excellent quality food. If you are looking for snacks be sure to ask how many are included in each serve! One of the best fine dining restaurants in Geelong. We visited for a special occasion and were absolutely not disappointed. Every single dish was exceptional, but the sweet potato churros were truly out of this world. The service was just as impressive — Lewis, Sarah, and Harry were amazing and made the whole experience even more memorable. Perfect food, perfect service, perfect night. Highly recommend.
