I had an incredible experience at Mures Lower Deck, especially because it was my very first time trying oysters! My server, “Aoife”, was absolutely amazing. She walked me through the menu, gave me great recommendations, and took my order. When she brought the food out and I mentioned it was my first time eating oysters, she went above and beyond by showing me exactly how to eat them. Watching her demonstrate the process was fascinating and made the whole experience so much fun. We had 1/2 doz of natural Tasmania Pacific Oyster & Mures seafood chowder & chilli mussels what’s perfect for 2 of us. The food was all delicious and the portions were perfect. The oysters were thin but very fresh, and I loved the seafood chowder with breads (you should try it), it was perfect for the cold weather in Tas, mussels also nice. The space is spacious but looks ordinary. After we finished eating, we went near the door and bought some ice cream for dessert, 8$/double sz (6 scoops) really cheap and taste quite good

Came here to look around as we were passing by trying to find a place for lunch. And after a friendly introduction from one of the woman staff we decided to stay. Every encounter with each staff member was absolutely wonderful, super warm and friendly ❤️ Food was good and great portions. I'm sure even a hungry man would be full after one of their soups. I managed to finish mine but I could have easily shared between 2 people.

We had a wonderful first lunch in Tasmania and it set the tone perfectly for our trip.
