If you’re a steak and red wine person, do yourself a favour and head to The Rigby. I’ve visited a few times previously for breakfast and have always been impressed by the quality of the food, great coffee, and welcoming atmosphere. This week was my first time experiencing Steak Night, and it exceeded every expectation. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Tender, flavoursome, and exactly as ordered. Awesome and unique, 100% recommend! Hands down, the best garlic bread we’ve ever had, perfectly toasted, full of flavour, and served at just the right temperature. Absolutely great. The sandwiches are incredible, with the perfect ratio of fillings to bread, and the burger was just as impressive, juicy, flavourful, and paired with perfectly seasoned fries really, really good. Our waiter was kind, friendly, and incredibly quick, which made the experience even better. Didn't catch her name but she was lovely. Nice breakfast — crumpets!! It’s not a usual breakfast where I live, in The Netherlands. Tried them this morning; they’re good and look pretty too 😊 If you pass through Maitland, I recommend trying the crumpets here. Also, do a little sightseeing for the old town buildings. Many Art Deco-style buildings line the street!

We decided to have dinner here on Friday evening while visiting the Hunter valley. This place was fantastic! They offer a wife variety of delicious small sharing plates, as well as tasty and unique cocktails. Even though the place was packed, the service was still stellar. For anyone who's thinking of going, definitely get the garlic hot pot starter.
