We had a lovely dinner at Red Cliff during our visit to Melbourne and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We ordered the Suancai Fish (酸菜鱼), tomato egg, and a stir-fried vegetable dish. The portions were very generous and great for sharing. Our favourite was definitely the Suancai Fish. This is easily our number one choice for Hunan and Sichuan cuisine in Melbourne. If you love spicy food, you cannot miss this place! Our top recommendation is the Kongming Grilled Fish. I’d give it a 4.5/5—this time the fish was a little bit on the dry side, but the side ingredients and the broth were absolutely the best we've had. If you pair it with a cold dish, it’s more than enough to fill up two people. For the cold dish, the Fern Root Noodle Salad is a great choice. If you prefer stir-fry, the Sichuan Style Stir-fried Shredded Pork is excellent and definitely worth the price. Great food

My partner and I really enjoy Chinese cuisine, so we decided to find a place close by. Came across Red Cliff on maps and was immediately drawn to their efforts in dining hall decor. Walked inside, greeted and seated immediately. Menu and ordering was via QR code, another big plus in my book. Amazing range of authentic Chinese dishes to choose from.
