Visited before noon on a Saturday and bought some baked goods to try: - Raspberry and rice custard danish; the pastry was very crispy and inside consisted of a layer of sweet raspberry jam, a mildly sweet rice custard, and plenty of fresh raspberries on top which were mostly sweet with a slight tartness. We went for a visit on a Friday mid morning. No queue thank god but fig tart was already sold out. Go there earlier if you want to try the popular items! My partner got the last cherry tomato basil focaccia and I got a fresh sandwich with ham and pickles. His focaccia did not have a lot of flavour. My sandwich got beautiful flavours but was so hard to bite maybe it's my preference to have it toasted. Austro bakery is the best of the best! They stock their pastries at all your favourite cafes (cam’s kiosk, juniper and Florian) but you can’t beat getting the full selection at Austro. Everything is made on site and fresh using seasonal ingredients and the menu change regularly. My favourites are the Vienna coffee scroll and the Leberkase sandwich with zucchini pickles - but it’s always so hard to pick!
