Some excellent dishes and innovative flavours. It was fully booked (on a Tuesday) and service was slow and not always friendly. Many of the dishes were deep fried (I hadn’t realised that from the menu description) but most were really flavourful. Dishes came out very slowly and it was loud but still a good dining option

This cosy fine dining 30 seat restaurant with its brightly painted orange exterior is located on the outskirts of Terrigal and is booked out sometimes for months in advance, getting a reservation can be difficult. The interior with its simple white linen and wicker decor was humble with a laid back feel. I was greeted in a professional manner and shown to my table. The food was well presented but in terms of taste was a little bit underwhelming. The service was good. The owner informed us where the chef had come from and how the menu originated, the young waiter was very good as well and very attentive. The atmosphere was average, not very creative or warm, and a little noisy. For the same price you could go into the city for the night and spend just as much at the Rockpool restaurant at circular Quay which is absolutely outstanding.
