This review is for takeaway, not dining in. I have loved lawash for years, and the dine-in experience is still enjoyable. But I am so disappointed in their takeaway meals, which for some reason don't include salad like the in-store versions. $70 for a few kebabs, 1 small curry, a naan and some rice, without any lettuce, onion or tomato, is super disappointing. They also seem to have dropped the pickled carrot and raisin accompaniment from their rice, and no longer provide their spicy tomato/chili sauce either.

This is a great place for casual dining. It ticked all the boxes for me. Impressive selection of dishes, friendly staff, generous servings, plenty of seating, relaxed atmosphere, very clean. I had a very nice lunch and had the best naan ever.

Dropped by Lawash Bakery as we were curious that the place called itself a bakery while serving mains like meat, and of course, reading the many good reviews. The place has a large array of options to choose from. We ordered the lamb shank beriyani (kabulli palow?) and also the half grilled chicken. Portions were good and we could not finish and had to takeaway about a third. The chicken was aromatic and had the charred smoky flavour while the lamb was tender and fall-off-the-bone. Would drop by again to try other dishes.

It was a terrible experience, the worst Kabuli I’ve ever had in my entire life. I think it’s better to remove Kabuli from your menu because u don’t even know how to cook it.
