First time at Sofra for dinner before a show at The Empire. Sofra is fully licensed and has an extensive menu including pide. The restaurant is decorated with Turkish textiles and lamps making the atmosphere inviting and cosy. It was a busy evening with most tables occupied by diners. Despite this, it was easy to chat and hear one another. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. He had the Sultans delight and I had the Chicken Shish Kebab. Place was nice and eye-pleasing looking. Plenty space to sit and can accommodate more than 6-7 people at one table. The food was good and delicious. We tried almost all dish that recommended by the staff. The service was fast but yet doest affect the quality of the food. Staff was very friendly and patient as some of my friends cannot speak English that much. They slowly explain and suggested which dishes for us to try.

We could not fault the food or the atmosphere! We did wait a little too long between first and second course of the banquet for two but the staff were excellent and everything went well otherwise. We shared a special night at a very special restaurant. The meat was tender, all dishes were beautiful, the beetroot dip and bread were lovely and the apple tea and desert was a highlight. Highly recommended!

Was booked into another ethnic restaurant which turned out to be all wrong but so happy we were as we discovered this absolute ‘gem’. Everything about it was great from the time we came in the door - was obvious how good it was by the amount of clients on a Monday night. Not locals but would highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars from us.
