We had the most wonderful experience at Joseph’s in the Lancemore Mansion Hotel. Our host Victor made the evening especially memorable with some amazing suggestions. We had the lamb and the king prawn linguini, both had such unique and masterful flavoring, we were blown away! The desserts were also something to write home about. If you are visiting or live near the area, I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. The sweeping views of a beautiful courtyard and historic building made the entire experience feel high class.

Joseph Restaurant delivers the kind of refined dining that food lovers truly appreciate — so much so that we returned two nights in a row. Each dish was thoughtful and beautifully composed. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked, rich yet restrained, while the scallops were delicate and precise. We approached our booking with trepidation given the mixed reviews posted by diners over the last year. Our concern was misplaced because all 5 dishes we had were excellent. The explanation is a new chef. Now the service needs to step up a notch to match - it is a little amateur and inefficient, but makes up for it in warmth. We had a very disappointing dining experience there! First, service was terrible, that we had to fill up water for ourselves. The steak was way too salty. We had crème brûlée was dessert, and that sugar crust is the thickest crust I have ever since.
