We went to this place as a random, ‘ooo I want a giant pizza on Friday night!’ joke, and I cannot rave enough about how good the experience was and all we had was a simple Margherita, albeit giant. Please do not underestimate the size of the giant pizza, it was massive and we couldn’t actually eat the cannelloni we had also ordered. The quality of the food was great and the staff were so lovely and polite even though we weren’t able to call and prebook a table (something we will be mindful of for next time).

Uncle Leo’s Pizzeria in Werribee is an absolute gem. The calamari and fries were cooked perfectly, crispy and full of flavour, and the tartar sauce that came with it tasted really good. The chicken parmigiana was just as impressive – tender chicken, rich sauce, and plenty of melted cheese. Portions were generous and everything came out hot and delicious. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

I believe the place to start with my review is by saying the owner of this restaurant, Nick, is a very nice man. Other than that, my experience here was disappointing. Food over cooked and flavourless, and when talking to the chef about it, and I use the word "chef" extremely loosely, she was rude and looked me up and down like I was trash. If you want an amazing meal, great atmosphere and phenomenal service, do yourself a favour and walk across the road to Il Matto's, you won't be disappointed.
