I had a pretty good experience at Café Merkur! The atmosphere was truly delightful and inviting, making it a wonderful place to relax 😌. The service was absolutely excellent; the staff were attentive and friendly throughout my visit. Regarding the food, the scrambled eggs were decent, and the soft-boiled egg was alright. Overall, it was a pleasant outing. 🍳

A pice of plastic in my Falafel Wrap. My experience yesterday at Cafe Merkur was completely disappointing. The lentil soup was very watery and tasteless and then I had the completely unpleasant and dangerous experience of chewing this piece of plastic (I almost broke my back teeth and it almost got stuck in my throat). It was in the falafel (the dish you see in the photo). Shock. My friend and I, who was an eyewitness, were incredibly shocked. Unacceptable for something like this to happen in a restaurant and especially in a dish that they charge 12+ € for. It seems that this is a part that fe

The atmosphere is very welcoming and bright and the staff were so friendly. I had just arrived in Vienna and was nervous about being a poor German speaker but they were very friendly and understanding and the waitress spoke English which was nice. The food was so good, ordered the Turkish breakfast which was fresh and favourite and came with amazing fresh, soft bread. Very positive start to my day and my trip. Will come back again before I leave Vienna.

Friendly happy staff, great atmosphere. Quick service, big portions of tasty food. A better English breakfast than most of the greasy spoons I've had full English breakfasts from. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.
