We ventured here with the intent of getting a vegan/lactose-free meal, and we were not disappointed by the quality and expectations. We had breakfast sandwiches that were perfectly done, and my son even got to have a nice fluffy pancake for breakfast that he talked about until lunch time. Plenty of seating, cards accepted, and very gracious/understanding staff!

Ran into Tinsel on a very snowy afternoon in Antwerp. It’s located in a more quiet area of the city, Sint-Paulusplaats. Close to MAS/Het Eilandje and the Cathedral/Grote Markt. We were welcomed by friendly staff, informing us the kitchen was closed as from 3.30 pm in case we were looking for some lunch (which wasn’t the case). So that was very helpful from the start. We were seated at a cosy area at the window, with a view on the kitchen. Our order was served quickly and I’m extremely happy I went for the banana bread. Cute cafe with a bit of a wait time to get inside (which is okay if it’s not too cold). The coffee is really nice, and the food is fine, but some dishes seemed quite expensive for a cafe. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options available! Definitely a nice place for coffee, chitchat, or some reading.
