We visited Tanshoshi Sushi in Bruges for lunch as a group of five and were seated immediately, which was a great start. The ambience was okay- nothing particularly special, but comfortable enough. The waiter was friendly and took the time to explain the dishes, which we appreciated. We ordered the asrabi ramen noodles, which had a really flavourful broth, and the pak choi was nicely crunchy. However, the soup could have been served hotter, which took away from the overall experience. The scampi was just okay and didn’t stand out. Overall, it was an average meal. I’d rate it a 5/10.

Very good sushi in Bruges! My partner and I were in town for the annual Burlesque Festival and found this gem while exploring the city. We have tried sushi restaurants in seven different countries and this is very good. The nigiri sushi is prepared edo style and is similar in size to nigiri sushi in Japan. The restaurant also has many western style rolls which are quite good. Overall, the best sushi we’ve had in Belgium so far. We shall return.

One of the best sushi experiences in Bruges! The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The salmon melts in your mouth, the rolls are perfectly balanced, and even the warm dishes like ramen are rich and comforting. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. You can really feel the quality and care in every detail. Definitely a place we will return to. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic, fresh and well-prepared sushi!
