If you want a bowl of spaghetti that will for sure fill your stomach, then BAVET is definitely the place to go. This place serves flavorful spaghetti bowls with the concept of wearing a bib. Yes. Adults in cute bibs cause baby, you are gonna need it. I ordered my usual which is the ‘Billy Bunter’. A protein heaven containing chicken slices, meatballs & bacon. They also created a new cocktail called the Vanilla Pornstar Martini and it is exquisite. A must try. The atmosphere is really nice. A well thought out interior design with various seating options. We've been to the Bavet in Brugge a few years back and I remember how good it was. The one in Ghent was just as good. It filled us up. I enjoyed the mint tea as well. Will definitely come again when I visit Belgium.

Just arrived in Ghent. We ordered the create your own spaghetti menu. The Bavet Special (bolognese with extra kick) and I ordered the Say Cheese (Basically their version of a carbonara) and added onion rings. Soooooo good!!! 😋 🤤 P.s. Their menu is printed on an LP record. What a fun and orginal idea. Love it! 😍

The pasta here is fine but not that good. The bavet special is nice but overpriced for what it is, and the pasta with cheese sauce was flavourless. There is the option for gluten free pasta, which is nice but adds to the price even more. The staff were friendly and the restaurant is nice, with the option to sit outside, however I wouldn’t make a trip to eat here.
