Spoke to waitress when arrived and told her it was my first time coming in over 3 years. She told me she’s been working here over 30 years. I was only customer when I arrived just after 8am. Cook brought food to me. Home fries super bland with no seasoning. Sausages lukewarm warm. Eggs good and rye toast nice. But never saw waitress again until I was done with my meal. Never was offered coffee refill till she came to get my plate. Totally unacceptable. Will not return.

Sunset is my go to breakfast place since I was 17 years old. The food is consistently good. The service is also consistently good. Pretty sure the wait staff is the same as it was in 98. I have so many fond memories of this place, and anytime I go anywhere else for breakfast, I secretly wish I was at Sunset Grill.

This is my last big breakfast (or brunch) here in Toronto for this visit before I head back to Manila! And I was not disappointed as the crab cakes benedict I had is something I will be thinking of for quite some time! Service is excellent!
