The battered mushrooms were so good and we had the Halibut Platter with the battered scallops, onion rings, shrimp, and fries. Everything was delicious and fresh. Great coleslaw and tartar. The tables and booths were clean and comfortable! The waitress was lovely. We are from Kingston, but we will be back.

Hey family, Here's my honest review of the time my wife & I visited "The fish and chips" in Belleville. When we arrived there weren't too many guests and there was plenty of parking. We were immediately greeted upon entry and sat by the windows. The server was kind and reflected a positive attitude which was nice considering she was all alone serving the whole restaurant. We ordered the classic, haddock and chips and man oh man was it absolutely delicious. Reminded us of the fish and chips we had in Halifax. Dined at The Fish & Chips Saturday evening. Ordered the grilled halibut. It was so overcooked and tough that it was not edible. No replacement was offered and no discount was given. Not sure if this was entirely a language barrier with the waitress or not as she did not respond in any way - Just a blank stare. We have eaten here several times and we’re so disappointed with the food and service today. Not even an apology, no offer to replace the inedible food nor any discount given.

Our first time here and it definitely won't be our last. Very nice staff and the fish and chips were done just right. Definitely not greasy. In fact, very light and easy on the stomach! Nice place indeed!
