I visited Saigon House with my 4-year-old daughter and we were both genuinely impressed. I ordered the beef and chicken pho with egg noodles along with a spring roll, and everything was delicious — comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We had Pad See-ew, one vegetarian one with Chicken. Both were good and authentic. Not sweet like other places. Free Green tea at the start is a nice gesture. They could improve their service a bit. For eg you’re sort of left wondering when you enter what’s the process to ask for dine-in…it’s the same line for pick-up. They they just point you to sit anywhere in the general area they point to. They brought one main course first and the other several minutes later, with no communication. Rookie mistake when serving a table. We recently visited Saigon House Vietnamese Restaurant in Brampton and, unfortunately, our experience was underwhelming. We ordered the House Special Noodle Soup with tripes and tendons, but it was disappointing to find that the tendons were missing and the dish lacked the depth of flavor we expected. The Crispy Wontons were okay but not remarkable. With only about six or seven pieces for $10, it felt overpriced for the portion and taste. They have less choices in their menu compared to other Viet restos I have been to. I would recommend the rice dishes especially grilled porkchop with rice which you can substitute the rice to fried rice with an extra charge. You have choices in your Pho (M, L and Xl). Large can feed two people already. The servings are pretty small as well and food is quite on the pricey side. I would say that given SH is already an institution here in Brampton. The previous resto near BCC cooks better to be honest. The tofu and calamari are basic.
