What a cozy place! The staff was amazing, she asked us what we needed and gave us proper suggestions. We took the sesame waffle which was not overly sweet. The caramel latte was so good as well! We spent about $20 CAD for these 2 items. The restaurant is small. Few tables and counter tops. Their outdoor sitting is a plus if the weather is good!

Even before I visited Ottawa I had my eye on Sharpfle Waffle, and I’m so glad I followed up and paid them a visit. Beautifully situated in a repurposed walk-up, this restaurant is very quaint and welcoming. Sure it’s a bit small, but that only adds to its charm. I was staying at a nearby hotel so my order was for takeout anyway. Thanks to the advice from the very kind greeter/server, I went for the combo featuring the Korean Fire Chicken waffle, a side of sweet potato soup, and a fizzy lemonade. First of I want to say was that the service was really nice. There were two asian dudes that served me and they were really nice. I had a nice chat with one of them. I sat at the bar, the one in the room with the wood finish and a view to the outside. It's a good atmoshpere. I had the Banana and Nutella waffle and an esspresso. Overall they were good. The waffle itself was ok and could've been softer/better but the whipped cream, nutella and banana was what really made it good. Service is friendly and food is pretty good! Just much different from what you'd expect. My partner and I ordered the Korean fire chicken and melon bingsu and yuzu drink. The Korean fire chicken waffle is very tasty! But, it doesn't taste Korean and was not spicy... at all lol. It was much more similar to butter chicken IMO, which I found really weird, but in good, unexpected way. I think maybe they made the sauce wrong. Still thought it tasted good, just doesn't taste Korean. The Melon bingsu should be renamed Hwachae, this is not Bingsu. Still very tasty and good. Bingsu is supposed to be
