Food as always is great. Absolutely nothing wrong with wait time or our meal. Tho it is frustrating trying to make a order. Impossible to do over the phone, and when we show up (my wife, 2 kids under 3yrs and myself) we ask all our food be packed in containers as it makes it much easier for us. We also ordered 2 extra plates that we dropped off at our friend's who just had a new born. All 4 plates come out on these massive platters, convenient when you are alone or with one other person. Super friendly staff and delicious food. This is my first time having Ethiopian (East African) in Canada, and it was a pleasant surprise. Very flavorful and a perfect level of spice, always add the eggs.

Simple decoration, unpretentious good food. East African Cafe has been a regular restaurant for me and my friends for years. We have never left unhappy with the quality of our meals, or with the quality of the service. I must recommend, however, that the food isn't always delivered quickly to the table but the service is friendly and great food takes time. The decor has been updated. What a fun place.
