When I heard about a new IHOP that had recently opened in Chilliwack, I was ecstatic to go there. I’ve been coming here since the days when it was located in the old IHOP spot. Back then, I used to come for brunch regularly. To be honest, the T-bone steak was a little tough — just average — but everything else was fresh and really allowed you to enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. Today, they mentioned there was an issue with their system, so they accepted payment in cash. It wasn’t a problem since we had cash with us, but I hope this is just a one-time situation, not a regular occurrence. The food was out in about 10 minutes and it was very delicious, I had the Spicy Poblano Omelette with buttermilk pancakes. The music was easy listening and at a low volume. Service was good until it was time to pay the check and I got up with my card in hand when my waitress came up stating she was about to call 911. Now I was in no way making a quick escape as I meandered to the till so my experience was soured by that last interaction.
