The Bread Lounge does not sell Bread! Waited 13 minutes in line, before being told that they do not sell Bread. One person working during Friday lunch hour is a questionable decision by the owner. Pastries were pretty mid, the restaurant was clean. Definitely wont be returning.

My husband and I popped in last Friday evening after a long day of wandering around the waterfront, and The Bread Lounge turned out to be exactly what we needed. We shared a gorgeous sourdough loaf with herb butter that was still warm from the oven, absolutely delicious. The staff were warm and unhurried, which you don't always find when you walk in close to closing time. We'll definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we're up in Halifax.

I highly recommend this place! Very good service and tasty food. The sandwich was really good, the lemon cake has the perfect combination of layers and I enjoyed the latte. FYI: if you park in the building's car park, don’t forget to register your plate.

This gorgeous gem of a business is tucked away off Robie. Their food is excellent, and I was struck by the breadth of their menu, which included coffee drinks, sandwiches, pastries, and desserts. The cherry on top were their sandwich deals: I paid $14 (before tip!) for a pastry, latte, and sandwich. I can’t recommend them enough, my partner and I had a lovely time.
