This was a crazy experience. We came on Saturday with live music and it was so much fun. Right when we entered, the owner was there to greet us and took our coats to coat check. He came around to check if everything was ok and made us feel so special. But he was like this with everyone and it was nice to see him give everyone such a warm welcome. The food was absolutely mind blowing. A lot of food and flavours you could not get anywhere else. We got the venison pie and the hunters sausage board which consisted of rabbit, venison and duck. Great service from Charlee and Alex! The food was fantastic, we ordered the Portuguese Shrimp to start, Cornish hen and steak frites, all so good! The glass slipper drink was great, but I love a smoked cocktail and the poison apple drink was to die for! Tastes like fall in a glass, and a funky cinnamon skull on top which was a neat touch. Alex the manager showed us his other stencils for the top of that particular drink and I think that’s such a thoughtful way to add character to a drink, in of course a restaurant called Brother’s Grimm. A cosy place in the cellar, with great drinks and delicious food. Great spot to bring the wife for a date. Couple good non alcoholic drinks as well, that stand on their own, not like ughhhh here’s a cocktail with no booze. We had tuna sashimi, very yummy. I had the surf n turf, if I could complain at all- the potatoes and kale were very salty, otherwise delicious. Wife had Cornish hen and it was very good. Really nice ambience. Nice Latin and soft jazz music. Service was very attentive and gracious. Food was delicious. I had the wild game pie with generous bone with marrow which was delicious and my wife had Steak frites which was also amazing.
