Had dinner at Plank Restobar tonight and it was one of those places that reminds you Hamilton has quietly become very cool. We went during Appy Hour, which turned out to be an excellent surprise. Great deals on appetizers, perfectly balanced margaritas, and food that felt thoughtful without feeling overdone. The tuna bites were fantastic. I have come here on multiple different occasions over the years of being a resident of Hamilton. The cocktails are always great, the food is fresh and yummy, the atmosphere is nice with dimly lit candles at each table and lighting throughout the restaurant. I recommend the margarita pizza and the Brussels sprouts on the menu! I want to come back here in warmer months to experience the patio

The Plank was recommended, and I’m glad we gave it a shot. Overall, it was a really nice experience. The prices were very reasonable, and while the steak portion was a bit on the smaller side, it was still good value for what you pay. Service was solid, the atmosphere was pleasant, and everything felt well put together. One thing that stood out was how clean the washrooms were, which I always notice and appreciate. The only thing I couldn’t find on the menu was a larger salad option, but aside from that, the food was enjoyable overall. Definitely a place I’d go back to regularly.

I visited The Plank with my boyfriend around 9:30 PM on Valentine’s Day, and as expected, the place was packed. Luckily, my boyfriend managed to book us a table. We were seated at the high chairs in the front — a bit uncomfortable for me since I’m short (lol), but once the food came out, it was worth it. The Valentine’s specials looked nice, but we ordered from the regular menu. The food arrived surprisingly fast …about 10 minutes after we ordered, which was impressive considering how busy it was. My boyfriend got the Banh Mi Meatloaf, and it was incredibly soft and flavorful. 9/10 I ordere
