I preordered the “teacher appreciation” cupcakes 12pk, when I picked them up I noticed the themed toppers are not edible hand painted toppers but laminated plastic. How disappointing. The plastic isn’t even cut properly so some have the paper touching the icing and it’s soaking grease inside the decoration! When I got them home I also saw that all the cupcakes are not even, one side is puffed up and the other not even filled to the top of the cupcake liner. Taylor knocked our wedding cake out of the park. We chose a design from Vanilla Bean Bakeshop's celebration cakes section - and asked to make the frogs a bride and groom, and a week before the wedding I also asked her to add our cat. Her attention to detail was phenomenal and the cake was a work of art. She was a prompt and clear communicator and steered us towards the right quantity for our guests. The first time I went to the Vanilla Bean was just for a small snack. I had their Cookie Monster Cookie because it looked interesting and it was the last one they had on display. I had it slightly warm and it was so very delicious. This cookie was a double chocolate with two different kinds of chocolate chip, a regular cookie and an Oreo inside it. I mean, I could not believe how much cookie stuff they put into the one. This is a fantastic hidden gem for a bake shop. I hope the next I come there; I will really dine-in.
