Went for brunch on Mothers day, being a family that enjoys the Dominican Republic for the people, culture and food this was an obvious choice. The food is authentic Dominican with a few canadian type options like spaghetti etc. The food was very flavourful and portions very generous. Would have loved to see an Asopao on the menu 😀 maybe in the future. The service was very friendly, welcoming, and at a reasonable pace. If you’re looking for a little escape to the Caribbean without leaving Gatineau, I highly recommend this place on Boulevard Saint-Joseph. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I had the chicharrones with fried plantains and yuca, and everything was so flavorful and delicious. The fresh passion fruit juice was amazing too. What I loved most was how authentic the whole experience felt. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and for a moment, I genuinely felt transported to the Dominican Republic. I came here craving Colombian food and was so happy to find a menu that felt like home. We ordered the tilapia, churrasco, and chicharrón, and everything was absolutely delicious. The tilapia was perfectly cooked, the churrasco was juicy and full of flavor, and the chicharrón was crispy and exactly how it should be. Every dish tasted fresh and well made. The portions were generous, and the experience was warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m craving comforting Latin food.
