I'd heard for years how good Pong's poutine was, but I'd never liked any poutines and always wondered how people found this dish delicious until I had Pong's poutine. Now I know! I'm happy to finally understand why people like it, from the fries to the gravy to the cheese curds. I also had a pad kra pow poutine. It was delish! My hubby, who had been disappointed by other poutines several times, tried this one. He finished it in a second and agreed this was an amazing dish. I wish it would come back after May 31. I have no photos. Did I just mention he finished it in a second?

The gravy and cheese were good, but there wasn't nearly enough cheese curds. I expected way more based on other reviews and pictures. So that was fairly disappointing. The fries themselves were thin and crispy, but lacked flavour. I was able to redeem them to a degree with lots of salt, vinegar, and ketchup. The portions are generous for the price.

Thoroughly surprised by the quality and tastiness of the classic poutine (medium). Living near Ottawa, I've visited many places that serve poutine in Quebec and Ontario, and Pong's' Poutine is definitely in my top three establishments. Their gravy is delicious, the curds melt just right, they heap the fries into your dish, and their service is impeccable. My only qualm is that their establishment isn't in the nicest area.
