Scrumptious carrot cake with the silkiest buttercream icing, ever! This was the first time I have ordered from Strawberry Blonde and it will not be the last. I wanted something extra special for my husband's birthday and I am so glad that I decided to try out your bakery (instead of picking up a cake from one of our local supermarket bakeries). Whenever I visit Ottawa, I make sure to stop here before I leave. They consistently have a good variety of delicious fresh desserts and also a frozen section of more savoury options. My friends that typically eat gluten and dairy have even said some of their desserts are better, which I totally agree with! Best Nanaimo bar selection 🤤 I think using a tad less sugar would be a bit better overall if you are trying to limit your sugar intake (I usually portion the desserts) but overall, you won’t find a better gluten/dairy free/vegan dessert bakery.

Every mother's day we go here to get a gluten-free cake for our mom. Delicious flavors and always some cakes in the freezer for last-minute pick-ups. More on the expensive side but good for special occasions. They also have pastries.
