We walked into La Vela for lunch without a reservation and were seated right away—already a great start. We chose a table out on the patio to soak up the sun, which made the whole experience even better. Our server was fantastic—super attentive, friendly, and helpful without being overbearing. Service was quick, and the food came out fast. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The melone & prosciutto was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the La Vela pizza was outstanding. We were craving some real authentic Italian pizza, so we came to La Vela. It was not busy, so we were seated right away and ordered some tea and a caprese salad to start. The serving size was great for 2 people to share, but was a bit lacking on the basil and balsamic. Also, the cheese in the online menu photo was nothing like what we were served, but we still enjoyed our salad. Our waitress brought us the extra balsamic and basil and we were happy. Decided we felt like pizza and pasta so gave this little pizzeria a shot. We had a great server from the UK who was friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Was a little surprised by the authentic Italian roots claim online as it appears to be an Indian family owned business. Having said that, the food was packed with flavour and served hot. Especially enjoyed the Caprese Salad. The only complaint would be our preference for a little crisper bake on the bottom crust of the wood-fired pizza. It was a little soft for our liking. Would eat here again.

Deliza and La Mela are my all-time favourite pizzas in town. The pizza dough is thin, and the toppings are incredibly delicious. Deliza is sweet and spicy, and the meat is crispy. The apple slices on La Mela add a mild sweetness, and the basil elevates the flavor to the next level. The service was okay.
