I’ve been checking their Instagram every day since the cruffin filling changes daily, and I finally visited today because I love pistachio cream! The cruffin itself was delicious, but I honestly couldn’t taste any pistachio flavor at all, it seemed more just like regular whipped cream... I wonder if anyone else who tried it today felt the same way. That said, the cruffin dough was excellent, and the cream wasn’t too sweet or heavy. I enjoyed it with my coffee! :)

I visited Black Walnut in Wortley Village recently with my two brothers, excited to try the cafe since it had reopened after the fire incident. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. From the start, the server Eric had a tone and body language that made us feel unwelcome. He was noticeably warmer and more patient with other customers, which made us uncomfortable. Even my brothers noticed the difference, and it made the experience tense. I had ordered a sandwich to eat before my shift, and we also ordered drinks and other food totaling six items (supposed seven). We paid around

This local café has a neighbourhood-focused, village feel. It sits right in the heart of the historic Wortley Village area, surrounded by older homes, local shops, and tree-lined streets. It’s warm and cozy. The café itself is designed to feel welcoming rather than urban or trendy or modern - and I appreciate that, because this city has more than enough Starbucks to go around. It’s a family-friendly bakery café and a place for light, casual meals and conversation with friends. It has seating both inside and on a patio. The food I’ve tried has been yummy and the coffee is good. Vibes.

We went to Black Walnut Bakery Cafe to order individual pies for our wedding. They knocked it out of the park!!! So grateful to have found them and that they could bring our vision to life. They were delicious. The staff was welcoming, accommodating, quick responses, answered all our questions and delivered exactly when they said they would. We tried other treats at there place and enjoyed it all. Highly recommend them.
