Went here for the first time and it was good. Had the Vietnamese coffee and though it wasn’t to my liking I can see the hype. It was good, not great but we are all different when it comes to taste buds. The food I had or well snack (cookie) was bland and hard, so I wouldn’t recommend those. Gluten free banana bread was awesome though, so stick to that if you need a snack. The seating areas were nice but could be cleaned up faster after use, customers shouldn’t be the ones swiping crumbs off tables and chairs. Everyone in there was nice and informative. Keep it up!

Friendly staff, tasty coffee and pastries. I have no idea where the bad staff reviews are coming from but my experience was really good and everyone was friendly and helped me pick out a drink. Brought my own coffee cup from home because of another review I saw and they put my drink in it for me. Tried the mocha and it was good. I'm usually hesitant to order coffee because it's too bitter for me but the mocha was really good and even though I like sweet I think other people would like it as well as it is not too sweet. Brought my golden retriever Biscuit last Saturday and the staff immediately came out to give him a bowl of water and plenty of ear scratches, which honestly made his whole week. We settled in on the patio and I ordered the almond croissant, which was buttery and fresh enough that I almost didn't share it with Biscuit (almost). The crowd was relaxed and friendly, a real neighbourhood feel, and nobody batted an eye at a dog taking up half the sidewalk space. If you have a dog and you're in Calgary looking for somewhere to actually sit and enjoy your morning, Caffe Beano is the spot.
